Jinora as envisioned in an AUniverse where Lin's attempts to save Tenzin's family failed, resulting in their sky bison crashing. Amon's forces quickly captured all the children, Tenzin, and Pema - save for Jinora, who had read enough books to know that splitting up should ensure they got out okay... or at least let one of them come out of things alright. She just never figured it would be her.

Now that it is, and Amon has successfully eliminated the rest of her family, she has lived through a very different world than the original LoK continuity; her family's death was just the emotional set back needed to push Korra into a breakdown, and while the final confrontation happened in a similar manner to the end of the series, neither Korra nor Mako were able to overpower Amon, having been under just enough added emotional strain to be vulnerable to lethal attack.

With airbending supposedly eliminated from the world and the Avatar dead, Amon reigns supreme, bending is outlawed and yet, in the seedy underbelly of the former Republic City, Jinora continues to live under the name Huoqui. She knows that the next avatar will need an airbending teacher to overthrow the regime, but her own anger, guilt, shame and bitterness are corrupting her, and her airbending is so destructive it has been mistaken for earthbending due to the damage it causes, a misconception she lets her new associates keep as it keeps her identity safe.

Though she has found allies in fellow repressed benders in hiding, in the two years since her family was killed, she has become even more of a recluse. She reads constantly, obsessed with her fantasy worlds, and is unemotional far beyond who she used to be. Smiles are few and far between as the remaining uncleansed, unregistered benders desperately await confirmation of the identity of the new Avatar, but racial mixing has made it so the new Avatar could be anywhere, of any origin, and the world sinks further into darkness as they wait.
